Hi,
In french (and probably in lots of other languages), we have typography rules that include non-breakable spaces (U+00A0) and narrow non-breakable spaces (U+202F).

With the "display whitespaces" option enabled, these two spaces display as a space (no grey marker such as the dot for the normal space).
(Geany 1.22 on Debian testing)

Would that be possible to add markers for these spaces (for example a grey '⍽' (U+237D) or a grey '~' for the non-breakable space and a grey '.' for the narrow non-breakable space) so that we can see them and distinguish them?
The best would be an option where everyone could set an arbitrary grey marker to replace another arbitrary character, but having these replacements hardcoded for a start would be great.

Thanks in advance,

Oygron

The whitespace display capability is part of the editor component we use which comes from a separate project. Scintilla (www.scintilla.org).

Scintilla only displays the "visible space" dot for ASCII space so first you should file a request with the Scintilla project.

Thanks for your quick answer. I'll see with Scintilla.
