Hi,

I was very happy to see the inclusion of a spilt window plugin in the ladt geany release. Thanks!

What I'm missing is the possibility to split vertically (i.e. to have the same file top and bottom, instead of left and right). Of course I was envisioning something Microsoft-Word-y (sorry!), but the menu approach is just fine.

I did some quick GTK+ learning ;-) and managed to expand the existing plugin with this functionality. It's also tested, of course. Hope you can include it in 0.16 (make that 1.0 please *grin*).

Only issue I see right now: You notice that the two parts aren't inside the same container type(?), they look somewhat different on the left side (Linux Fedora 8, gtk2-2.12.8, glib2-2.14.6).

Usually 0.x.y releases are for bug fixes only, and we don't often make them anyway ;-) It will be in the next feature-release. Probably you could apply the patch over the 0.15 source code.
