When using the editor it is not possible to use the function keys on the keyboard numpad. Whether Num Lock is on or off, all keys are interpreted as numbers. This means that arrow keys, delete, insert, home, end, page up, page down etc are disabled.

Work for me on Debian GNU/Linux and development version. What is your OS, and could you try with the latest version?

    Thanks for your replies.

    OS is Raspbian Linux

I am having trouble getting later than 1.22 (built on or after Jul 7 2012)

    root@mtu:~# apt-get install geany
    Reading package lists... Done

geany is already the newest version.

Sorry. I have confirmed this is not a Geany problem.
When I run via VNC it works fine. When I run via MobaXterm I have the problem. There must be something wrong in the MoboXterm terminal emulation or configuration settings which must be causing this - but I cant see what it is yet.

    Thanks. This can be closed.
