When I've Geany opened and I double-click on (open) a file associated with it, the new file is opened in the current session keeping all the other apened files opened. If I close geany and reopen, I find all the old files opened (that's wonderful!).
If I've Geany closed and I double-click on a file associatet with it, Geany opens forgetting all the other opened files (that Iwould have found if I had opened Geany before double click on the new file). The feature I am requesting is the option to coose if in this case (geany closed, new file double clicked), to find also all the old files opened and the new in a new tab. I think it would be very, very useful. Thanks.

Hello I would like to have this feature too! :)
I usually close Geany leaving the files I'm working on opened in it, so I easily find them already opened next time I open Geany. Sometimes I'm working over a dozen files so this feature is really useful to save time.
Sometimes I open a file quickly just in the need to edit it, thinking about the changes I have to do and forgetting to check if Geany is already opened.
So if Geany were closed I get opened this new file but loosing aaaall the session I was working on!
And this irritate me all the times :( because then I have to loose a lot of time opening back all the files I got opened before.
Not sure why this lands in geany-plugins tracker, but it has been fixed in Geany already with Git commit ad1c08e [1]; which now reopens the session unconditionally unless explicitly disabled.
BTW, this is a duplicate of https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&aid=2838686&group_id=153444&atid=787791
