Hi,
The error message says 'unable to cast object of type 'gdcm.reader' to
type 'gdcm.Pixmapreader'

PixmapReader pixReader = new PixmapReader();
pixReader = (PixmapReader) reader;


and if I try using the 'as' keyword it just sets the pixReader object to
null

PixmapReader pixReader = new PixmapReader();
pixReader = reader as PixmapReader;

what is the actual error message ? in c++ this works, and I thought
swig would preserve the hierarchy.
