Does anyone know why the results count is much too high when filters are used? This was asked in one the Google Desktop groups without an answer, other than it's an estimate.
For example, I have around 100 emails indexed and the results count for a search for Google is 372 with setNum(300) and it returned 4. The count seems to be of little use, unless there is something I need to do.
Using the Google Desktop Search on the web page, the counts are more accurate.
