[Algorithms] Best-Fit Line in 3D

I have played around with best fit lines
in 2D, but I was wondering if there was
an algo that finds a "best-fit"(via, least
squares or what have you) through points
scattered in 3D.

I have searched the Gems, Numerical Recipes, etc.
but to no avail.
