Asteroids like game with rocks, spaceship, jumps and moves; every screen copied live to GLCDMirror.exe I do show the board and how the board loads the program from SD Card.

MPLAB Starter Kit for PIC18F MCUs DM180021 ? (which sadly isn't available anymore).
I bet it looks nice on the little screen!
Great to see it reading from the SD-card!
A demonstration (as simplified as possible) of the code needed for reading a single small file from SD-card into RAM would be very useful. The same for writing a small file to SD card.

I have here a project that reads and writes data to a FAT SD CARD ( so, not raw file system ). When i get a moment I can re-use the library for SPI on any chip.
