It would be great if the GMP(or GMP++) library was incorporated into this calculator, so that numbers of arbitrary size can be calculated with precision.

Excellent suggestion. In fact, the linux version currently in development (see cvs), is using ginac (http://www.ginac.de) which relies on gmp.
