Hi. I'm new to the list, and just wanted to say that this was just the excuse I needed to get myself a GameCube, PSO, a memory card, and an ethernet adapter. (Should arrive in a week or two). I hope to be able to help the project in some way or another. I'm normally a Mac developer, and at a rather higher level in general, but I'm sure there's something I can do. Is it possible to use the 1.1 version of PSOloader on the Mac, or will I have to use PSOLoader 2 in VirtualPC? / Regards, David |

But there is sure enought work to do in the background, and if it is only writing documentation or something. I am also interested in learning C. What resources did you use in doing so? i'd prefer online resources so I don't have to buy books or anything yet. (and ask programmers for help) or watch systems wich are currently developing. the bad thing on GC-linux is, that there are no "base-tool" developments, like it was on Xbox-linux. a lot of tools we needed, we only "portet" from Xbox to GC. and this is basically "fast" i will look, if we could write some tools, wich are needed, and i will then develop them "in public" so that you can see "steps" and so you are not confused with a ready big mega- programm. franz - -----Ursprungliche Nachricht----- Von: gc-...@li... All right thanks! I know C# and C++ already and have dabbled in Java. I know ASP and have dabbled in PHP. I have just learned Bash scripting within the recent weeks. I think I have an ability to decipher patterns that enables me to learn a lot of programming techniques on my own. I knew for C++ there was like learncplusplus.com or something but I don't know of any sites for C. Sounds great! I know C quite well, but I'm rather weak with assembler and hardware programming (although the limited knowledge I have of assembler is with the PowerPC). To the person who asked how to learn C...I'd suggest getting at least one book that you can keep for reference while you're learning. It's been a number of years since I learnt C, so I don't have any concrete examples, but take a trip to the nearest computer book store, or study some reviews on Amazon. By far the most difficult hurdle in learning C is the concept of the pointer*. Once you grasp that, it should be downhill from there ;-) / Regards, David Remahl * (matters further confused by Handles, which are pointers to pointers.
