If you add too many entities to a game, it doesn't run at all.

After a bit more testing, it seems like this only occurs when there are too many entities of the same sprite.
For example, putting 5 strawberries, 5 pellet, and 5 aliens is ok, but putting 10 strawberries messes something up.
