I am excited to announce a new developer, Reid Holmes, to the show. He promises to bring some new life to the project as I have been very unable to give it much attention lately. Welcome.
Also, please welcome Michael Habbert as well. He has gratiously offered the solution to the most requested enhancement. Jump to the code from the detail screen.
This update has been contributed to the ganymede project and is included in release 0.9.2.
I am currently working on a complete rewrite to incorporate much much more than is currently available. It will be a generic engine for log [event] monitoring based on interface [driver] implementation with default impls for flat files, log4j socket, log4j socket hubs. The eclipse front end will come first, but even that is abstracted so a swing/other impl should be available shortly after an eclipse plugin. Am going to take a semester off of school, so i should be able to kick this out soon.
In order continue work on the interface and asthetic issues, I have decided to use an implementation of a SWT virtual table. This will fix the performance issues to a point where the tests have been churning over 300 logs per second. But unfortunately this implementation uses win32 libraries. When there is a more viable option for cross-platform virtual tables I will migrate. Again, sorry.
Now should work just by using the "Check out as project" function of CVS.
