Reading SMS Nokia 6300 unreadable and error when sending

Hi

I've connected my Nokia 6300 via bluetooth to 
Ubuntu Hardy with wammu 0.25. Contacts and Calls 
are synchronized fine and it is able to download 
all the SMS but they are unreadable. SMS appear 
like chinese and all coming from the same number.

How could it be configured to avoid it?

Moreover, when trying to send SMS it produces an 
error. It says that Nokia does not support it..

I'm using bluephonet (also tested bluerfphonet)

Any tip will be appreciated
