I'm not a recruiter, but I think being minimally communicative is 
important to fit in a team.
However, there are people who need a little time to get used to a new 
work environment and new coworkers.
It's my case. I'm about as open, relaxed and joking around after the 
first few weeks that I'm an autist barely able to even articulate 
"hello" the first weeks. And I have even no idea why.
