I stumbled across this today. Note the SDK and embedding stuff.

If you want a good scripting language for programmers, this looks amazing. I
haven't done any testing on speed and the like, but it's well worth a shot I
say.

Not sure how easy/possible it is to use it on the ps/2 etc, as it doesn't
seem to include source.
