I think you're getting so worked up about your higher cause that you pretend to ignore simple, everyday common sense. Email can be incriminating, or can cause you personal problems (e.g. a email to girlfriend #7 being read by girlfriend #12). Your credit card number can lead to money stolen from you (or your credit card company, or your banke). The information that you're using a Pentium 4 / 2.4 GHz with 512 MB RAM can... ummmm... can you think of something evil that can happen to you? Maybe you could get lynched by the AMD crowd. And, by the way, it's not "you" using the Pentium 4, it's an somewhat anonymous IP (without your ISP logs). Or even more anonymous, if it's bound not to a specific IP, but to a random generated ID. |
