In my case I'd think that most casual players have no idea what the registry is, so I should be safe until a someone decides to put a .ref file somewhere. Actually, the shareware version of my game is bigger than the complete version, because it contains the nag-screens. The additional levels of the complete version do not need additional resources, and the size of the level data is not significant to make a difference. In fact, the levels are hardcoded in the executable... Anyway, I don't think the additional download is a good thing. "Register and get the key" seems to be more attractive to me.
