Yeah, but the difference is the complaints are usually less about "Why
doesn't your game work on my Voodoo 1 card?!" and more along the lines of
"You have violated my holy license! Now I will demand you release your
source code!"

Which, you have to admit, is pretty scary for the unwitting gameshop.
