[GD-Linux] Intel's C++ compiler

Has anyone tried Intel's C++ compiler for Linux? I have some template code
here that refuses to compile with any version of gcc >= 2.96 and am
wondering what people's experience are with the Intel compiler with regard
to C++ conformance (according to the German iX magazine it's supposed to be
good)?
