[GD-Windows] Unicode editboxes

I read in the msdn that regular Editboxes support both ANSI and Unicode
text. Great news, but unfortunately, that was all I could find...

How are unicode editboxes created and handled? Do they work in Win98? Where
can I find more info about this?
