MSDEV is buggy as hell (be glad you don't have to use eMbedded Visual C++ 
3.0...gack).  Unfortunately I don't know of a clean way to exit ALL the 
time, I just end up having to watch for stuck MSDEV.EXE or CL.EXE 
processes.  Sometimes CL.EXE gets stuck and I have to manually kill it.  Go 
figure.
