OK... weird. I want to have a command containing double quotes characters in an Exec statement: get-iplayer ".*" --force --type=TV My code for the above is: Exec ["get_iplayer", "\".*\" --force", "--type=TV] To sOutput where sOutput is a string. However, this does not work. I've tried omitting the 2 lots of \" but that doesn't help. My code used to be (which worked): Exec ["get_iplayer", " --force", "--type=TV] To sOutput -- John |

Bruce, Do you have a GUI anyhow? (Maybe foolish question...) but: It sounds as if it actually is running, but it doesn't show up. Can you check via ps or top if there is any active process? Or simply type Ctrl-C at the sold cursor to see if the shell is able to stop the process. Otherwise, as to your question about building it yourself: of course, I have done so ever so often, and you will be able to watch if there are any errors or missing libraries etc. prior to "make install". Hello, Are there any logs that could help me troubleshoot why Gambas will not start? I installed it on an ARM based single board computer (like a Raspberry Pi) running Debian Wheezy. It looks like it installed correctly, but will not start. Should I try to build it from source? I'm not a strong Linux guy, but I could give it a try? Bruce |

Hi I am new to Gambas. I am making a data base application. One one of the forms I want to pick a date. This date is stored in a column i a table in my sqlite database. I have used a DataControl for this purpose. That works, put the picker also lets (or requires me) to pick a time. I just want the date. How can I avoid the time part. -Bjorn |

Here, everything is ok with the repo: http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/Education/openSUSE_Leap_42.2/ If it still doesn't work, you should write to the new mailing-list. To verify that, on the software search page under Gambas3, click on "Show 101 Sub-Packages". Scroll down to the bottom and click "script". (I'm not sure why "scripter" is even listed.) And, yes, this is in the Education repository. You can also try the Packman repository: http://packman.links2linux.de -- Lee |

I had it installed twice on two different systems, but on the third one, it suddenly doesn't appear anymore. Yast as well as zypper don't want to know it anymore. I looked on the website 1-click-install and downloaded a package from "education", but it does not contain gbs3 for instance. In this case, I urgently need gbs3. Has someone an idea why I do not find the complete package? Thanks !!! Rolf |
