Dear pals, I am currently working on building a linux based embedded device which requires a browser component too. While going through galeon related pages on the web I came across a statement that it is not as bloated as mozilla. So my question is how small it is? While installing I found that it runs only if mozilla is installed on the system(SuSE 8.0). Now is all of mozilla required for it to function? Can I remove all XUL/chrome related stuff from mozilla? Is there a list of mozilla related files available which are absolutely necessary to make galeon work? The second part of my query is whether anyone has tried to package galeon and mozilla components in a single tar or rpm distribution? I am talking about self contained binary distribution where gtk and gnome libraries may not be part of it. Thanks in advance. Vrihad |
