Greetings - I've run into a problem occasionally when I restart Galeon after a crash, or with multiple windows open. In certain circumstances, some of the restored windows end up being placed beyond the viewable area of my window manager, and I can't see them or move them. I've looked over the FAQ and some of the list archives, but can't find any solution. Here are the specifics: I'm running galeon 1.2.5 on a Debian woody system. My window manager is enlightenment 0.16.5, and I multiple desktops, with several virtual screens in each. If I restart galeon while in the upper left vitual screen of desktop 0, all galeon windows end up being visible. (The placement is a bit odd, but they are at least accessible.) If I start galeon while in a different virtual screen or desktop, some galeon windows occassionally end up placed out of the range of the virtual screens. This seems to depend on the arrangement of the galeon windows when things are shut down. It almost looks like galeon is trying to place windows relative to my current location in the virtual desktop space, rather than in an absolute location. Is there any way to change this? Anyone have any other suggestions? Thanks much! -Rob von Behren |
