this is feasible insn't it? We need a map of where GAG is writing the data but a userspace program could write the boot code to the mbr. Worst case there is no data and the first time you reboot you setup GAG. Best case the userspace program also knows how to write the data that GAG writes and it's all setup when you reboot.
