#13 gabber wont find libglade

I am trying to install gabber from the tar.gz
I have this package installed
libglade-gnome0-0.17-2.ximian.1
I cant install any other rpms without uninstalling this one
which would remove my system
even though this package is installed, configure keeps
complaining that it is not.
