I would like to see an option in Gabber to run some
specified script per incoming event. This would allow
playing sounds and deactivating screensaver etc. There
should be a script per event type or parameters
supplied to the script.

To look into it the other way round, why not make it
possible for scripts to send commands to gabber, for
example through a pipe. This would let me script an
away message to Gabber whenever screensaver is activated.
