The raid controller is a adaptec 2100s as i mentioned before. The FTP drive is almost empty. It is however a USB 2.0 disk. Could that have done it? I am sure the switch is running at 1000 base/t. We did the download to the new drives last night and it ran at 15mb/s yet the upload was horribly slow. So many the RAID controller is just very slow using parity data?
