G4L is an awesome application - thank you!
One thing lacking for my group's use - is a partimage
version that is compiled to support ssl and
authentication. We're trying to run our own partimaged
server but want the extra security of running across
ssl with authentication to limit who can read/write to
the partition image server.
On the System Rescue CD - they do this with two
separate versions - one without ssl and auth and one
with. We're not able to use the System Rescue CD
though because it does not detect the SATA hard drive
controller in our Dell's... but G4L detects it perfectly!
Thanks again for a great tool!

I haven't used partimage or partimaged, but it appears they
are the latest versions released. I didn't build them, so I
am guessing they were originally downloaded as the static
built versions. It seems that the ssl is build in, since
there appears to be a switch to disable it, but it might
require some other files or setting. I also notice that
there are startup switches for the authentication. I believe
the g4l only runs the programs with no switches, so perhaps
a switch setting would be all that is required. It should be
in the path, so you could just run partimage and/or
partimaged and try some options, and see if it excepts the
parameters.
Additionally, if the versions that you mentioned are
statically compiled, they could just be copied to the g4l
system. You could check this by placing them on an ftp
server, and downloading them after booting to g4l. Would
probable have to use chmod 755 afterwards to make the
executible.
