Hi list, yesterday I failed miserably configuring VLAN subdevices on a bond (fwbuilder 5.0.1.3592). I have already 5 VLAN interfaces on a normal ethernet device and fwbuilder handles them just fine. Now, in order to have a little failover I wanted to migrate the setup to a bond. Here's what I did in fwbuilder: - Created two unnumbered interfaces eth3 and eth4 - created a bonding device bond0 and made eth3 and eth4 subdevices of bond0 as explained in the guide http://www.fwbuilder.org/4.0/docs/users_guide5/bonding_intf_management.html. It did not find a way to explicitly declare them as slaves, though. - Moved 1 VLAN device including an IP address from the old physikal device (eth13) to bond0 Now, when I have fwbuilder compile the whole thing it would complain that bond0 does not have an IP address... Well of course it does not... Is this scenario supported at all? Or where is the mistake? Cheers, alex |
