Where is the link? I assume from the name that it is a tool that migrates a Checkpoint Config to a FWBuilder ruleset?
I googled the name and visited
cp2fwbuilder[]sourceforge[]net
but couldnt find the software...

It's not 100% done yet. The tool was originally created in 2002 for Checkpoint 4.1. The projects stemmed from the fw1rules distribution. Right now i am modifying the old cp2fwbuilder to include the new fw1rules distro. In doing so, I have already succesfully converted all objects and services to the OLD fwbuilder xml format. The access rules are what i am currently working on. They are not converting for some reason. I should have the gliteches worked out shortly. The next task will be to convert the NG ruleset directly to the NEW .fwb format.

I have to migrate a checkpoint NG FP3 firewall to PIX. But I have a very large set of rules (300) and many many objects. I know that -by doing it manually- it's a good opportunity to look over the rules and tune them. But I do this for an external customer, which already has checked the rulebase.
So i'm looking for a tool. I was thinking of using cp2fwbuilder, which convert the Checkpoint rulesets into XML files which can be processed by Firewall Builder for PIX.
Do you have cp2fwbuilder for NG? If you don't, is there an alternative for converting the rules from NG to PIX? I appreciate any help in this very much.
