Hi,

I really like fwbuilder, it saved my life more than a couple of time :)

I'd like to talk about a feature which could enhance ease of use.
I use to aggregate multiple ports required for a service in a dedicated group.
I have a groups called teamspeak for the wellknown gamer's voice chat soft.
Every times I need to add a port for TS, I create a UDP service called TeamSpeak-X with the port number, then I add it to the TeamSpeak group.

I'd like to know it it's possible to add on the edit panel of a group, two button or something like this, which create a UDP or a TCP service, add it to the current group and switch panel to edit of the service.

By this way, you are able insert a service in a group easily.

Regards,
Damien

Follow the anwser/suggestion from Vadmin Kurlan:
Please file a feature request. I think this could be a drop-down list of object types inside the group dialog, similar to that in the toolbar to let the user create new object and automatically add it to the group. It can;t be two buttons for UDP and TCP because there are other object types too and the feature can't single out only UDP and TCP. The list of types in such drop-down list should be limited to types suitable to the corresponding group, i.e. only services for the service group.

This is implemented in Firewall Builder v4.0

You can test using test builds that are available for download from the nightly builds site at

    http://www.fwbuilder.org/nightly_builds/fwbuilder-3.1/

the change is done in v3.1 build 2100

We have started testing of the upcoming v4.0, please subscribe fwbuilder-discussion mailing list if you are not subscribed yet, I am making announces on the list and the discussion is going on there.
