Thanks for the quick response. Now it's almost working heheh! ;)

FUSE is now failing with the following assertion:

zfs-fuse: fuse_session.c:188: fuse_chan_receive: Assertion `ch->compat' 
failed.

I'm using fuse_chan_receive() because I have my own loop that receives 
requests from multiple mounted filesystems.

The code in fuse_chan_receive() seems right to me (it's merely a wrapper for 
the new fuse_chan_recv()), perhaps fuse_kern_chan_new() is not setting 
ch->compat?
