I'm tracking CVS HEAD, so I can generate an updated patch anytime. The
patch I posted was against HEAD at the time, though...

No need. I send them as attachments because Thunderbird wraps text at 72
characters, and I didn't want the patch to become unreadable. Your
newsreader doesn't seem to do that, so you're fine.
