I created the most simple testcase I could come up with:

just do:
mkdir /tmp/test
python $script /tmp/test -d

It should generate a lot of "Signal for you sir" messages but it
doesn't. So I guess the dbus loop is stuck somewhere. I don't know how
to solve this.
