New versions of fuse-importer are bundled directly with Fuse and do not need to be installed separately. Current versions are PPC/x86/x86-64 universal binaries.

You can uninstall the old version by dragging /Library/Spotlight/FuseImporter.mdimporter to the trash and emptying it. You may need to restart your Mac to have Spotlight realise the plugin is removed.
