In the beta I am currently running there is support for both the TC2068
at 50hz and the TS2068 at 60hz. It would be useful to have a 50hz and
a 60hz version of the Spectrum SE (given that some people may just
possibly get around to converting some TS2068s). Whether this means
having two machines Spectrum SE (PAL)/Spectrum SE (NTSC) or a
separate option somewhere to switch the frequency would depend on
which is easier to do I suppose. There is evidence that Sinclair sold a
60hz Spectrum in the US by mail-order before the Timex machines
were launched so I'd prefer a 50hz/60hz switch that could be applied
to all models. But I'll take what I can get. Keep up the good work.

As we tie timing information closely to the machine definition it would be a big timing guess to have a 50Hz/60Hz switch for any machine. It's easier to have a 50Hz/60Hz SE but there would be more patchwork involved (does a 60Hz SE have a Kempston joystick? It can take fewer peripherals due to the different edge connector, presumably the dock would no longer work etc. etc.)

Without any sign of an actual 60Hz Spectrum or SE, I see no need to emulate one.

One of the Zebra people said they have a prototype NTSC 48k, but it's the only one I've heard of.
