One user reported that Furthur failed to realize that
his hard drive was full, and simply stopped downloading
without providing any error reporting.

    Before starting a download, the client should check the
    destination hard drive for free space. If the free space is
    not at least 1.5x the size of the download, the user should
    get a popup explaining the problem, and the download should
    not start. (For complete safety, you'd need 2x the free
    space + a little, b/c every track could download 99% before
    final assembly)
