After clicking "Go" in the task decision window there is
no indication that anything is happening until the green
lines appear in each row (suggest a progress bar or
some animation).
Here too the feedback is not good as the green lines
appear in "spurts" and not as each file is actually
processed.
Many times I think I've timed out when I haven't.

yes, hm, in fact, this isn't a real "bug". it's because the
sync process buffers input into a large buffer and writes it
at once. so, if you sync from local to ftp you read a lot at
once and write step by step. the first is not shown, the
second is. in your case this generates some ugly behavior.
some things need to be redesigned there to make the feedback
smooth in all cases.
the idea of the execution buffer is to make syncs on one
harddrive more smooth. additionally i'm planning to allow
multiple upload threads to ftp destinations as the ftp
protocoll generates quite some strong up and down in
bandwidth usage, it'll seldom reach full capacity if you are
syncing many small files (like websites).
erm, ok, maybe it's not the right place here to describe
future plans ;)
hope you just get the idea of whats the 'problem'. i'll
leave this as a bug as i guess most people will look here if
they encounter the same problem.

I am syncing from FTP to local. As a short term fix it would
be nice to see some sort of status "flag" - other an animated
graphic or a "Sync in progress please wait" otherwise it really
looks like it has given up.
