Add a framework for tagging.

The basic idea would be that if tags are featured
fairly prominently and have a simple UI to change them,
people would categorise things by tagging them, and if
someone (un)intentionally mis-tags them, the majority
will fix things.

This could make it easier for the user to find the
things he searches, and also allow various other
functionality.

(Could use some more good use cases though.)

Of course, whether this functionality will really be
used depends on the community and the application of
the forum, so it should be possible to make the
functionality less visible in the UI.

By simple UI I mean things like, not needing to type
the tags in all the time, instead offering a selection
list of tags based on fuzzy logic which looks at other
existing tags for the post, the presence of the tag in
the content, related key words in the content and tags,
etc., and having an ‘enter tag’ option at the bottom.

It would probably be useful to have private (per-user),
group (per-group) and public (global) tags.

Although, on the other hand, maybe that would be too much of
a hassle for the user, tagging should still stay easy. Maybe
a nice way can be found to do this.

Having some default tags would be a good idea.
