An FAQ in the Fugu documentation (dated 2 May 2005)
reads like this:
Q: Fugu was working fine, but now when I try to upload
files Fugu says "Couldn't get handle: failure." Wha...?
One of the most helpful errors from OpenSSH's sftp,
this message typically means that there isn't enough
space on the server's disk for more data. This could be
because you've hit your quota limit, or that the disk
itself is full. Contact the server administrator for help.
The error, "Couldn't get handle: failure.", also occurs
when uploading to a target file who's Unix file
permissions are read-only. We've noticed this
regardless of an uploading user's access method (group,
user or world). Perhaps the FAQ could also mention
this in addition to disk problems? Here's my proposal
to change the FAQ entry, expressed with the `wdiff`
(word diff) command.
