I think ftpmount running as root or a normal user depends uopn the parmissions of the mount program, as far as registering the ftpfs filesystem is concerned, it cant be done by anyone else but root, and thankfully so. Kernel modules arent inserted by anyone.

Is there a way to set this up?
Alternatively I would like to use ftpmount as a user, not as root...
