Sorry everyone, but there won't be a release for a while, since my only computer with the needed software is down, until an unknown time.
Filesystem Image Tools is a set of programs to simplify the creation and use of disk images. v0.21 includes a new version of fillfile for creating images.
Pre-compiled binaries are available for i386, i688, and Athlon.
Filesystem Image Tools contains shell scripts and a C program to create and mount disk images.
Version 0.2 has been released, which features an improved fillfile program, which now doesn't try to allocate as much memory.
There is also a shell script to mount the images.
The first release of Filesystem Image Tools has just been released. Filesystem Image Tools is a set of utilities to simplify the creation and use of disk images.
This 0.1 release only contains the utility to make a disk image, butis currently is only suitable for small images (less than total system memory), but hopefully it will be ready for virtual hard drive use by next release.
In the next release I plan to include shell scripts to automate mounting, formatting, etc.
