The aeTerminology Suite imports AppleEvent Terminology Extension information. Abstract Here is my take on the aeTerminology Suite. Try it out. Make sure you back everything up! This should be considered development stage software. I ended up digging in a bit! :-) This is by no means perfect! I hope that folks will find it a good starting point to work from. Create a new Desktop Script installer for the current apps table. This menu item will be inactive until a new apps table item has been created or the Set Current apps Table menu item is selected from the aeTerminology menu. Replace Terminology for ... Replace the AETE information for the current apps table. This menu item will be inactive until a new apps table item has been created or the Set Current apps Table menu item is selected from the aeTerminology menu. Open apps Table Open the table at system.verbs.apps Set Current apps Table Allows you to set which apps table some of the menu items in the aeTerminology menu will apply. Load an osax into a table at system.extensions. This is an example command to show how aeTerminology can be used by other scripts to import AETE information and have it end up where ever the script writer wants it to go. There currently seems to be a bug in the kernel that prevents the user from being able to open file packages such as newer style OS X osaxen with the open dialog even though osax has been specified as a file type. As a workaround you can hold down the shift key when selecting this command shich will then allow you to select any file. Navigate carefully! Read Me This outline! Here is an example, when I tried creating a table for Mail.app named Mail, it conflicted with suites.mail. I put a check and warning in to notify the user of this kind of situation.
