• 0.4 now comes with a minimalistic gui with a tray-icon.
  
  Because of the gui python and gtk are now required to run fritznotify.
  
  I'll also provide a 64-bit-rpm in the near future.
  
  And i'll hope to solve the issue of different espeak-variants soon.
  

• 0.3 uses a simpler rpm-build-script and deb-Packages are also provided
  
  I also started to build 64-bit-packages, to cover the different mbrola-binaries. But while the 64-bit-binary of mbrola crashes the 32-bit-mbrola-binary is in both packages.
  
  When installing one of the debian-packages mbrola gets deactivated because espeak acts different on deb-based-systems.
  
  A little gui, just to quit fritznotify without using 'killall fritznotify' is still missing
  

• 0.2 uses mbrola to produces a much better voice-output. The mbrola-binary and its license for i386-linux is distributed alongside fritznotify. As the voices are quite big (from 5MB up to 50MB) they will be downloaded and installed prior to their first usage. That's why there is the option mbrola_voices_on_demand in the config-file.
  
  0.2 still has no gui but a bit more output using libnotify and voice-output on fritznotify-launch.
  

• 0.1 is out and considered stable but has no gui to stop it
  
  use 'killall fritznotify' to stop fritznotify.
