#82 linux: i can't see menu (problem fonts)

Hello,
I just downloaded fretsonfire (1.2.512), everything works except the fonts .. I cannot see any of them. I don't have this problem with the version available in the repository (however, that one crashes when a song loads and is very slow).

I am using Ubuntu 08.04 AMD64 and fglrx 8.3. Opengl shouldn't be the problem because Supertux runs smoothly and I get at least 2000fps in fgl_glxgears.
