A modernized Apple Silicon (arm64) build of the FreeWRL VRML97 / X3D browser, maintained by the Ascendance Open Worlds project. Signed, notarized, and self-contained — no Homebrew runtime required.

Requirements

• Apple Silicon (arm64)
• macOS 14 Sonoma or newer
• OpenGL 4.1 Core
• FreeWRL 6.7 engine line

• Self-contained FreeWRL.app — Developer ID signed, hardened runtime, Apple notarized, ticket stapled, Gatekeeper verified
• Bundled runtime: FreeType 2.14.3, ODE 0.16.6 (double precision, internal libccd), freealut 1.1.0, Apple OpenAL framework, stb_image 2.27
• Does not require Imlib2, OpenAL Soft, FFmpeg, or Homebrew
