Category: music Group: 1.6.0 Status: Open >Resolution: Fixed Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: John Molohan (johnmolohan) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: Volume unmutes on every new song Initial Comment: Just came across this by chance last night. When playing an album with the sound muted every time the next song plays the sound unmuted (although the idlebar icon still showed muted). ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: John Molohan (johnmolohan) Date: 2007-01-25 13:08 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=774680 Originator: YES Well I can confirm that this bug doesn't exist in rel-1 svn (at revision 9051). Just to answer your questions the -ao oss:/dev/dsp is still there in svn so that doesn't see to effect it. If I mute then play more than one track it unmutes and stays unmuted from the beginning of the second track (or the end of the first), every track from then on was unmuted. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Duncan Webb (duncanwebb) Date: 2007-01-17 06:24 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=104395 Originator: NO You could add a print into the mixer.py to see if the mixer mute/unmute is being called, I suspect it is not being called as I couldn't see any code that would do this. What happens if you mute the audio and let it play more than one track, do the audio unmute and then mute on the following song. There is a MUTE event that toggles the audio. The only other thing that I can think of is -ao oss:/dev/dsp may unmute the audio, we should really use alsa by default, who doesn't have alsa these days. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: John Molohan (johnmolohan) Date: 2007-01-16 21:30 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=774680 Originator: YES Mplayer. As Ryan has said this doesn't seem to be a problem. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: ryan (ryanroth) Date: 2006-12-30 16:47 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=1196812 Originator: NO This does not seem to be a problem with the current SVN ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=446895&aid=1584265&group_id=46652 |
