It seems my problem with 1.7.0 is bigger then I thought... since upgrading from 1.6.3 I found it to be very unstable. When playing a playlist, somehow, I do see cover images, but Freevo crashes when it tries to open something with non-standard characters. For instance, I have my music collection in /home/michel/Muziek, and under that I have some music of a band called "O=F4s Jo=F4s" in /home/michel/Muziek/Rock/O=F4s Jo=F4s Now, I can just open the "O=F4s Jo=F4s" folder from Freevo, but when I try = to open a subdirectory (the albums are in a subdirectory), for instance the directory "Ben roik", Freevo crashes. Strange thing is, that the files in this directory are named 01.flac, 02.flac etc... and one file called front.jpg, so no non-standard characters are used in that. In main-500.log I see this message: Traceback (most recent call last): File "/usr/lib/python2.4/site-packages/freevo/main.py", line 285, in eventhandler app.eventhandler(event) File "/usr/lib/python2.4/site-packages/freevo/menu.py", line 673, in eventhandler action( arg=3Darg, menuw=3Dself ) File "/usr/lib/python2.4/site-packages/freevo/directory.py", line 472, in cwd self.check_password_and_build(arg=3DNone, menuw=3Dmenuw) File "/usr/lib/python2.4/site-packages/freevo/directory.py", line 527, in check_password_and_build self.build(arg=3Darg, menuw=3Dmenuw) File "/usr/lib/python2.4/site-packages/freevo/directory.py", line 633, in build for i in p.get(self, files): File "/usr/lib/python2.4/site-packages/freevo/audio/__init__.py", line 77= , in get a =3D AudioItem(file, parent) File "/usr/lib/python2.4/site-packages/freevo/audio/audioitem.py", line 54, in __init__ self.set_url(url, info=3Dscan) File "/usr/lib/python2.4/site-packages/freevo/audio/audioitem.py", line 126, in set_url Item.set_url(self, url, info) File "/usr/lib/python2.4/site-packages/freevo/item.py", line 288, in set_url audiocover =3D util.getimage(os.path.dirname(self.filename)+'/'+filemas= k) UnicodeDecodeError: 'utf8' codec can't decode bytes in position 26-29: invalid data Note that I had never any issues playing the music in this directory with Freevo 1.5.x and 1.6.x Any idea?
