Not so bad for small areas when I had hardware acceleration 
disabled, definitely much slower than quicktime.  Though I didn't 
try the plugin to see if that works.  Can you lower the rendering 
quality when in software-only mode?  as it seems to interpolate 
every frame at the moment.
